On December 4th, Photini Sinnis, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore visited Ankarklev lab. Hosted by Johan, Photini gave an inspiring talk on “The establishment of Malaria Infection in the mammalian Host”.
Johan Ankarklev has been awarded the “Great Grant of the Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF)”. The grant, running for four years, is a great support for young researchers aiming to establish their own research groups.

On Friday September 15th, the Knut and Wallenberg foundation highlighed their 100 year anniversary by a sympousium in Aula Magna, Stockholm University. Coordinator Niklas Henriksson and Postdoc Oleksii Skorokhod were found in the audience.
